3i Corporation Innovating with Wi-Fi in the Electronic Security Market

Date:

Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) is a technology that allows the transmission of an internet connection through radio waves. The waves can be picked up by Wi-Fi receivers attached to security devices.
3i-Corporation® towards its commitment to provide best technologies in its devices has incorporated Wi-Fi as means of communication between its devices and the alarm monitoring station.
The benefits of Wi-Fi enabled security devices are to enable wireless access to deliver data to the alarm monitoring station with no cables attached. The other benefits include elimination of cellular usage charges, cabling, switches, adapters, plugs, pins, and connectors and thus act as a cost effective source of communication.
Our Wi-Fi enabled devices strictly follow wireless security and offers password protection to prevent unauthorized access. Our Wi-Fi enabled devices support three wireless security types: Wired Equivalent Privacy 2 (WEP2), Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). The current Wi-Fi security standard is WPA2 that uses an encryption device, which encrypts the network with a 256-bit key; the longer key length improves security over WEP.
Our products that support Wi-Fi communication with the alarm monitoring station includes, Pegasus™ NX, Griffon™ Control Panel, Griffon™ EB COMM Expansion Board, and iGuard™.
