Clients who don’t have a telephone line and wish to have their alarm panels monitored;

The Pegasus – GPRS module, when energized, enters the GSM operator network via data channel (GPRS) and through it makes a connection with the Zeus Server, creating an online communication channel between the monitored client and the alarm monitoring company, making the immediate transmission of all the events generated by the alarm panel in the Contact-ID protocol possible. All of the information transmitted by the Pegasus –GPRS module is twice crypto graphed, guaranteeing their top confidentiality.

The Zeus Server is a multi-task software that works as a “Virtual Receiver”, receiving the events transmitted by the Pegasus modules, and handing them to the monitoring software as a conventional receiver (it simulates the communication protocol of receiver such as ADEMCO-685, SUR-GARD, DOMUS-4, SILENT KNIGHT (PROTOCOL ITI) AND CM PLUS). Apart from that, the Zeus Server carries and important managing system task out, checking the communication with the Pegasus modules (online or offline) constantly, the presence of the telephone line at the client, the Internet link to the monitoring central and etc.

The system counts on a third communication channel: the CSD (Circuit Switched Data), which is a data transmission way via cellular technology voice channel. The Pegasus-GPRS module will use this third channel when the first channel (GPRS) is offline and if there is a cut on the monitored client’s second channel (telephone line) (for this resource to be used, a 3i Corporation receiver – Pegasus CSD RECEIVER – must be installed and configured to the Zeus Server.

Any monitoring software that communicates with receivers Ademco-685, Sur-Gard, Domus-4, Silent-Knight (protocol ITI) and CM Plus can be used.

• Uses the cellular operators data networks (GPRS), allowing the hiring of cheaper plans;

• Uses CSD communication (CSD = data transmission way via cellular technology voice channel) in case of failure in the data network and if there is a cut on the monitored client’s telephone line;

• Can communicate to Zeus servers with a fixed or dynamic IP;

• Can periodically test the service availability on the monitored client’s telephone line (detects fixed telephone service interruption situations in case of the monitored client’s lack of payment);

• Transmits all events generated by the alarm panel;

• Has two ways out that can be controlled remotely, making it possible to arm and disarm the alarm panels without using the telephone line (depends on the resource being available on different alarm panels).

• Has the exclusive “Free-Calls” technology which makes it possible for the Pegasus Modules with a cellular interface to send alive packages (periodic tests) via voice channel with no cost, in case the GSM/CDMA data network is offline.

• Can be used as first or second communication channel for the alarm panel;

• Permits the local and remote monitoring of its functioning;

• Allows periodic tests in short time periods (over 60 seconds);
• Eliminates long-distance phone calls costs: the monitored client can be anywhere in the planet and not suffer any increase on the communication costs (the Pegasus modules with cellular interfaces depend on the cellular operator’s local signal);

When operating as the 1st communication channel for the alarm panel, uses the monitored client’s telephone line as backup
, that means in case any problems occurs in the communication via data network with the monitoring central, the Pegasus module connects the phone line to the alarm panel allowing it to transmit its events regularly;

• All transmitted data are crypto graphed(128 bits);

• Uses cellular modules GSM/GPRS/CSD integrated homologated by Anatel (Pegasus with GSM cellular interface);

• Uses a non-proprietary architecture: on the monitored client’s side, the Pegasus modules can connect to many alarm panels brands and models which can communicate on the Contact-ID protocol. On the monitoring company’s side, the Zeus Server software (event receiver software) can communicate to any monitoring software that can stand the communication with a receiver such as ademco-685, Sur-Gard, CM-Plus, Iti, and many others.
